Evangelism and mission are very important to us. Each Good Friday we get together with the other 3 churches in Pocklington for our Walk of Witness when we carry a cross through the town centre, stopping every so often for readings, prayers and praise. Good Friday 2010 was a very special day for us when over 100 onlookers watched 9 people get baptised on the pavement outside our church!
Throughout the year, we often go to the town centre on busy Saturday mornings to hand out Christian newspapers and offer to pray for people on the street with some wonderful results! We also host evangelistic events every so often, including two visits from Barry Woodward and an evening with John Gaughan from Herman's Hermits.
We also support the following missionaries through prayer and finance.
