As you are probably aware, the Government has asked people to observe ‘social distancing’ as much as possible, including the suspension of all gatherings, large or small as they aim to curtail the spread of COVID-19. Assemblies of God has also recommended that we follow the advice of the Government and do not gather.
We are committed to the safety, health, and well-being of all of us and have therefore decided to suspend all formal gatherings with immediate effect. This means that PCF’s Sunday services and all our regular gatherings are cancelled until further notice.
During this time of trial and uncertainty, we are even more aware of our call to be a source of light in God’s world. Many of us are at home, temporarily cut off from our larger communities. Some of us have children home from school. Others have jobs that have been thrown into uncertainty or are worried about the health of loved ones. As we navigate the constantly evolving situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, let’s make sure that we are encouraging one another by staying connected! You can do this safely by checking in on each other regularly by phone, email, Facebook, or other remote means.
Pastoral needs: If you have a specific pastoral need please contact Alan as you would normally. We are still there for you, although the ways we can support may be a little different from normal.
For those in self-isolation: If you are ill and/or need to completely self-isolate, please let Alan know as soon as possible. Where possible we will offer to:
- Provide extra encouragement and pray with you through phone calls and other means.
- Deliver essential items (e.g. food) to you, if your family and friends are not able to do this.
